Temple Terrace to discuss alternatives in wake of redevelopment defeat

After failing to win support from voters for a tax hike to fund a proposed $300 million redevelopment effort, the Temple Terrace City Council has scheduled a workshop to discuss the redevelopment process.

The meeting will take place Aug. 9 in a session following a budget workshop at approximately 11 a.m. in Council chambers, Temple Terrace City Hall.

City staff is currently working on developing alternatives to the downtown redevelopment process following the results of the Aug. 2 referendum, a release said. These alternatives will be presented to the Council during the workshop, the release from the city said.

While the workshop format does not allow for public comment, the meeting is open to the public.
